Effective Collaboration Between Airports, Airlines and Air Navigation Service Providers

Frequentis leads the way with innovative solutions for traffic management and collaboration. Our solution portfolio is a set of integrated applications, covering the entire flight value chain.

The Frequentis airport products are key enablers for the most effective collaboration between airports, airlines and Air Navigation Service Providers to reduce costs for all stakeholders, achieve their performance objectives, and increase passenger satisfaction. Our portfolio enables optimised flight planning as well as the digital airport through its solutions for improved workflow management, Airport Collaborative Decision-Making (Airport CDM) and the Airport Operations Plan (AOP).

Aeronautical Data Quality

Upstream, data origination at airports is being supported through the correct formatting and verification of the completeness of all data according to the latest requirements and regulations from ICAO, Eurocontrol or the EC. A flexible workflow engine allows third-party originators to manage data in a true collaborative manner while internal departments and teams are constantly informed about the current status of tasks and the respective data.

Aeronautical Information Management

The Frequentis group’s aeronautical information management (AIM) solution is a complete system landscape of modular components that provide full interoperability along the digital aeronautical data chain.

Airport Airside Monitor

Frequentis Orthogon Airside Monitor is a solution for airport surface movement monitoring and planning, using real-time surveillance and inputs from a variety of airport and air traffic systems to enable Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) between airport stakeholders.

Demand Capacity Balancer

The Demand Capacity Balancer (DCB) is the world’s first Airport Operations Plan (AOP) management tool. The solution provides a powerful digital twin of airport operations and significantly extends the current planning horizon of Airport CDM to support the AOP implementation in Europe and globally. DCB enables information sharing and integration with the Network Operations Plan (NOP), for example through its unique capability to calculate Target Times of Arrival (TTA).

Pre-Departure Sequencer

The Pre-Departure Sequencer (PDS) cuts taxi times and improves sequence and departure time predictability. PDS delivers all the capabilities needed for Airport-Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM). By optimising push back times, airports can reduce taxi times, enhance sequence and departure time predictability, and cut queues.

Optimised flight planning

Downstream, airlines can rely on the correct automatic ingest of data to run their data engines and optimisation tools. While all regulatory requirements are fulfilled and data structures are applied according to international standards, the flexibility of the solution allows the addition of data and business rule extensions to manage and process additional data that is especially crucial in the airline industry.

Stand Optimiser

The Stand Optimiser manages stand planning and allocation at airports. It improves stand utilisation through KPI-based optimisation and what-if capability, resulting in better airport efficiency and increased capacity. Its unique capability to integrate with our Demand Capacity Balancer (DCB) helps to connect airport airside and landside information and contributes to the Airport Operations Plan (AOP) for early and proactive performance management by all airport stakeholders.

Products

Demand Capacity Balancer (DCB)

Airport infrastructure is becoming increasingly constrained, more so the Airspace and Airside. New terminals and passenger solutions will not address these Airside constraints. A-CDM went someway to addressing this, but only provided a short look-ahead …

Orthogon Stand Optimiser

Orthogon Stand Optimiser manages stand assignments at high traffic volume airports with flights that frequently deviate from planned schedules. It improves the stand utilisation with KPI based optimisation and what-if capability resulting in better airport …

Orthogon Arrival Manager (AMAN)

The Orthogon Arrival Manager’s objective is to manage the flow of arriving aircraft in a way that makes best use of the available Air Traffic Management resources, such as runways and airspace. Orthogon AMAN manages traffic …

Orthogon Departure Manager (DMAN)

The Orthogon Departure Manager (DMAN) provides consistent, optimised planning of the outbound traffic at airports and accordingly optimised target times for flights at the runway and the stands. Major objectives are to efficiently manage the …

Orthogon Extended Arrival Manager (E-AMAN)

The SESAR Extended Arrival Management (E-AMAN) concept allows air traffic controllers to meter traffic into a busy Terminal Manoeuvring Area from far out in the en-route airspace. This is feasible by extending the AMAN operational …

Orthogon ODS™ Open Platform

With the ODS Toolbox™, Orthogon has acquired a worldwide reputation as a specialist for air traffic Controller Working Positions (CWP) development software. Since its market entry in 1994 the ODS Toolbox™ has been accepted by …
